Winter timber wolf hunts
Cougar & Lynx
| · | T.F.Outfitters has some of the most northern range where cougar are found. In short that means big cats! We hunt our cats with use of hounds and focus our efforts in mule deer wintering range. In the past our cat hunting grounds have produced some great toms. Spotting tracks and releasing the hounds is the start of the excitement, but nothing compared to getting to the base of the tree and searching for the menacing yellow eyes looking back at you. These are winter hunts, clients should come prepared. |
| · | Good cats will run from 160 to 200 lbs and carry skulls going 16+ inches. |
| · | We also offer lynx as
add-ons as well as part of a ten day predator hunt. |
Trapline adventures
| · | Take a step back in time, and join us on a authentic trapper expedition. We trap wolves, coyotes, lynx, fisher, marten, mink, beaver, otters, and weasels. We trap remote traplines as well as ranch lands. |
| · | This trip is for those looking for something out of the ordinary. Learn all aspects of trapping, from reading sign and choosing the right spot, to harvesting and skinning. We share our age old methods as well as some new. |
| · | Clients can expect to bring home one of each fur as a part of their trip (except wolf) and can purchase all furs at market value. |
Backcountry fishing expeditions
| · | T.F.Outfitters offers backcountry fishing trips for clients looking for pristine waters and un-crowded spaces. With over 30 lakes and streams to choose from, patrons will be guided to wild trophy rainbow trout and elusive but veracious bull trout. |
| · | Flyfishermnen/women can thrill at a 9lb rainbow ripping backing and dancing along the surface, finally to be landed and released again to fight another day. We uniquely can offer our clients fishing opportunities without any other anglers to be found pressuring the fishery. Matching the hatch will have lines stretching all afternoon. |
| · | With mobile camps, we offer camping right on the shores of some of our lakes and streams. Fishing from “can see to can’t see” is our motto. Join us and slow down to Chilcotin time. |

RED DOG big game guide school, a professional training course and educational instruction for big game hunting guides and outfitters. We are based out of the Cariboo/Chilcotin region of British Columbia, and are one of Canada’s only schools of this kind. We are dedicated to training the best guides within the hunting industry today. Our 21 day long course is very comprehensive, covering all aspects of professional game guiding and the skills required to become a top-hand guide. We are committed to those who are driven to becoming top-notch guides; this is not an exploratory vacation for those looking for a bit of outdoor adventure. We deliver a horse-based, hands-on training method to further ensure all graduates are properly educated and have the essential skills needed to be a super guide. Students can expect to spend some time in a classroom setting as well as important time in the field. Our hunting camp is the “real deal”, complete with main lodge and wall tents. Trained guides can expect to make more and be more sought after then untrained guides.

| · | Wolf populations within BC are currently on the rise, our area is no exception. With the growing population of prey species, wolf numbers are very strong. BC is known to have some of the largest wolves in the world, and we are one of the few hunting outfitters that can boast success. |
| · | Hunting is done over baits and/or calling. Calling in wolves is quite successful and extremely exciting. Many times more then one wolf will come in on the dead run, this method is not for the faint of heart! |
